NWEC officially registered, scaling programs and partnerships.

In 2008, while working as a journalist with Vision Group, I was assigned to cover stories involving vulnerable women.
During these encounters, I witnessed a deeply troubling reality: young women and single mothers struggling with economic hardship, emotional distress, and social exclusion.
In the most severe cases, these challenges led to family breakdown, child abandonment, and even loss of life.
This experience placed a burden on my heart, a calling to make a difference. Over the years, I committed myself to addressing these urgent needs, and that commitment grew into a mission.
After 18 years of continuous engagement, the Naamala Women Empowerment Charity (NWEC) was formally established as a response to this pressing social challenge. NWEC exists to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity for women, empowering them to rebuild their lives and secure brighter futures for their children.
